Company - About Us

HTIF strives to be first in quality, value and price.

Jim Waskow, the late founder of HTIF, set high standards for the company when he established it back in 1989:

“We pledge to provide you with the highest quality industrial replacement air and liquid filtration bags. You will receive fast and friendly service and a very attractive price. First in quality, value and price; that’s the way we do business. Let us show you that we live up to these claims.”

Jim Waskow brought 40 years of filter bag manufacturing experience to forming his own company. After he completed his military service in the early 1960s, he worked for Food Filters, a division of Stearns & Foster managed by his father.

He was soon offered a management position himself, and moved to Cameron in 1963, to establish and manage a filter bag factory, Cotton Products.

When that facility was closed and merged with one in Eden, Ohio, he worked in Ohio for a few years and then returned to Cameron, where he reestablished contacts with former customers and started producing his own custom filter bags under the name of Home to Industry Filters. Today, just as Jim Waskow pledged, HTIF strives to provide high-quality, affordable replacement air and liquid filtration bags and custom-made bags of virtually any style or type.

HTIF produces an ever-expanding line of dust collection filters for the concrete, asphalt and wood industries, and product recovery filters for dairy processors and pharmaceutical firms.

Customer service is key to our success. An example of our commitment to you, our customer, is demonstrated when a bag house fire shuts you down. We do not believe in a 3-4 week lead time is appropriate while you are losing money. Our goal would be to get the replacement bags to them in 1-2 days if at all possible said Dave Waskow.

HTIF's goal is a less than two-week turnaround time even on custom orders and new designs, he says. He suggests that the best and easiest way to get a quote on bags is to send HTIF a sample or complete specs and let the company design a replacement bag.

"Virtually every bag we make is custom,” he says. “Every order is custom made to the customer’s specs. I want to sell what I make, where I have control over how it’s made and the quality we send out.” The company also promises speedy next-day shipping, through the most cost effective means.
