‘ Very easy to work with…’

HTIF takes pride in its quick response to its clients’ needs -- and that’s what appeals to Bob Heavirland, senior manufacturing engineer with the Annex Division of Andersen Corporation.

“I set up a system where I have boxes of the filters that we use stored, and then we made up slips of paper with the part numbers and the ordering information on them and laminated them,” he explains. “They’re on the last box to be used, so as they open that last box they throw that reorder form on my desk and we call them up. They have my credit card and purchasing card number on file, so I call up with the quantity that we need, and then they bill my credit card. So it’s really kind of an effortless system and it works quite well.”

"And they’re very easy to work with,” he adds. “We needed a couple of modifications on some of the filters, to make them work better. So we drew a sketch, sent it over to them, they sent me a sample, it worked great, so we just changed it and gave it a parts number and away we went!”

Mr. Heavirland’s North Branch, Minn., plant makes the Fiberex composite window channels used in the sills and frames of Andersen’s world-famous high-efficiency replacement windows.

His plant uses HTIF’s water filters to clean its process and cooling water and “degasser” filters -- 10-micron filter bags with a 7-1/2-inch ring.

‘Their products are great!’

Wendy Holland, purchasing agent for Whirl-Air Corporation of Big Lake, Minn., says their company uses HTIF filters exclusively it the dust collection systems it builds.

“What I exclusively buy from them is all of our bag cages for our dust collection systems, and also all of our filter bags in many, many different sizes and lengths. They do all of those for us,” she said.

Since 1946, Whirl-Air has been an industry leader in innovative design, development and fabrication of pneumatic conveying systems, and has been using HTIF filters exclusively for many years.

“I just know that HTIF over the years has always done everything they said they were going to do,” she said. “They’re easy to work with. I just fax off the order and out comes the merchandise. There’s never been any problems. I’ve been very, very pleased with everything.”

“They’re always very available and easy to talk with,” she added. “Their products are great; we’ve been very happy with them.”

Whirl-Air typically uses HTIF’s 16-ounce standard polyester filter bags for its dust collectors, but sometimes need specially treated fabrics, so Ms. Holland says she really appreciates the company’s willingness to design and distribute custom bags for its clients.
